I have been potting for nearly 40 years – for over 20 of those, I have been teaching adult pottery classes alongside my own practice. I am now running 2 adult morning pottery courses at Anglia Clay Supplies Classroom at Alby Crafts NR11 7QE.
Classes are mixed ability – so everyone is welcome, whether you’re a complete beginner, intermediate or an ‘old hand’ at pottery.
Courses consist of group demonstrations & individual 1-2-1 tuition covering hand building, throwing, glazing & decorating techniques– so it’s up to you if you’d like to follow what I’ll be teaching each week, or if you prefer, you can work independently on your own projects with 1-2-1 guidance. Or, of course, a mixture of both.
The classroom accommodates 6 students comfortably with 3 pottery wheels, a slab roller, tables for hand building, press-moulds, tools, a good selection of slips & glazes & 3 types of clay.
There is an additional charge of £5.00 per kg for fired work.
Alby Crafts has free parking & a café.
